Prepare Your Store for Upcoming Changes
    ——-
Numerous third party systems, including PayPal, Authorize.net, and UPS are making changes that could affect your store. Be prepared ahead of time in order to avoid last minute panic when things stop working.

Last month we discussed upgrading your ShopSite store to the latest version to make sure your site is ready for upcoming TLS 1.2 changes. If you are using a different ecommerce cart, you’ll want to be sure that you are prepared before the upcoming deadlines. For Magento merchants, we will have PHP updated on all Magento servers to fully support TLS 1.2 (via curl) by 5/31/16. For other PHP based ecommerce applications, such as WooCommerce, we will have all servers updated by this date as well. If you are using a different ecommerce product, you’ll want to be sure to check with the vendor to insure that you are prepared for these changes.

As per ShopSite, we want to reiterate that if you are using a payment gateway or offering realtime shipping calculations, it is essential that your store is running the latest ShopSite version. Many third party systems (PayPal, Authorize.net, FedEx, and more to come…) will soon require that your store is running this release, as it fully supports their upcoming security protocol changes. Complete details about these changes and the current deadlines can be found on our blog at:

    http://www.lexiconn.com/blog/2016/03/pci-tls-1-2-and-the-upcoming-deadlines-for-ecommerce-stores/

The upgrade to version 12 SP2 is free for any client that is leasing the software or if you already own a version 12 license. If you own a ShopSite license that is at version 11 or older, the upgrade would incur a $125.00 fee for ShopSite Manager, or $325.00 if you have ShopSite Pro. If you are unsure regarding whether you own your license, if you lease your software, or if you would just like us to confirm the version that you have, please feel free to drop us a note. More complete details about version 12.2 and a link to the upgrade form are located at:

This upgrade is something you’ll want to address as soon as possible as the deadlines mentioned in the blog post are right around the corner, with the first going into effect on June 17, 2016.
